Felix Gerard Banks (“Jerry”), 93, of Tallahassee, Florida, passed away January 3, 2017. He was born in Franklinton, North Carolina on October 22, 1923. Jerry graduated from Franklinton High School and received a Bachelors degree from North Carolina State University. He was married to Barbara Ann Babbitt on July 16, 1950. Jerry had a 38 year career with the Florida Game and Fresh Water Fish Commission, retiring as the Assistant Executive Director. He was a member of Bradfordville First Baptist Church, and had a passion for vegetable gardening, fishing, and traveling.
He is survived by his wife Barbara and their children Melanie (Terry) Kraft, Robin Boyle (Mac Langston), and Tim (Sue) Banks; and their grandchildren Kelly, Sean, Keith, Nathan (Renee) and Justin (Brittany) Kraft, and Ryan and Elizabeth Boyle (Craig Johnson).
Visitation (2:00 pm) and a funeral service (3:00 pm) will be held in Tallahassee on Monday, January 9, 2017, at Bradfordville First Baptist Church, 6524 Thomasville Road. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Big Bend Hospice or Bradfordville First Baptist Church.
