Freeman "Dale" Ashmore

He was born in Gainesville, raised in Tallahassee with his family. He married and had 3 children. He worked 30 years at FSU as a computer programmer. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying his love for the great outdoors - spending time at his beloved riverhouse hunting and fishing. The family will always cherish his gift of storytelling.

He is survived by his children, April Winchester, Jeremy Ashmore, Tom Conley; his 4 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild, his brother Michael Ashmore, along with his beloved dog, Sugar Bear.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Freeman and Marybelle, his siblings Pamela and Byrne; his first wife Patricia and second wife Carol.

A public visitation will be held at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, located at 1737 Riggins Road, Tallahassee, FL 32308, on January 21, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.

The funeral service will follow at the same location from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.

Burial with military honors will take place at Roselawn Cemetery, 845 Piedmont Dr, Tallahassee, FL 32312, at 3:15 pm following the service.
