Hazel Strickland Lewis, 88, of Tallahassee, died Wednesday (9/9) at Broadview Assisted Living. A native of Four Oaks, NC, she came to Tallahassee in 2002 from San Diego, Cal. She had retired from the Kennedy Space Center where she was an Administrative Assistant. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Merritt Island and enjoyed playing the piano and singing as well as bowling.
Preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, George, she is survived by her daughter: Abigail Thorn of Tallahassee; brother: Melvin Strickland of Tennessee; sister: Algia Green of Bradenton; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren.
