

Born on December 15, 1945, in Pikeville, Kentucky, to Cebert Nunnery and Hertha M. Zeigler, Helen was a caretaker at heart. Her life’s purpose was vividly clear in her devotion to those she loved, including her beloved pets. Over the years, she took in many family members, offering care and comfort.
For many years, Helen worked diligently as a housekeeper, a career she enjoyed. However, the true calling of her life was rooted in her role as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved her family more than anything and leaves behind a profound legacy of unwavering love and selflessness.
Helen was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Roy J. Riggsby; her parents, Cebert Nunnery and Hertha Zeigler; two daughters, Susan L. Blackburn and Melissa R. Riggsby; two grandchildren, Amanda Mitchell and Xander Shivers; and three siblings.
She is survived by her four children:
• Tony L. Riggsby (Candus)
• Christa F. Allen (Mark)
• Kimberly A. Lott (Rick)
• Deanna L. Lewis (Rodger)
Her legacy continues to flourish through her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to her life.
A visitation will be held on November 6, 2025, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, located at 1737 Riggins Road, Tallahassee, FL 32308.
The funeral service will follow at the same location from 10:00 am to 10:30 am.
A committal service is scheduled for November 6, 2025, from 11:00 am to 11:30 am at Roselawn Cemetery, located at 843 Piedmont Dr, Tallahassee, FL 32303.
