

Imogene Rudd Whiddon, age 74, entered into rest February 20, 2010. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 10:00 a.m. at Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home-Riggins Road Chapel, with burial at Old Philadelphia Presbyterian Church Cemetery-Quincy. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 8:30 a.m. until service time. Memorial contributions may be made to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd. Tallahassee, FL 32308.
Imogene was a native of Quincy, and had lived in Tallahassee since 1951. She was a member of Christian Heritage Church. She retired after thirty five years of service with the Leon County School Board, having taught at Hartsfield Elementary and Oak Ridge Elementary School. Survivors include one son Charles Durrant Whiddon, Jr. (Michelle) of Tallahassee, one daughter, Ivey Jean Whiddon of Tallahassee, four sisters, Jewell Burdette, Annalee Stokes (Bill), Elizabeth Faircloth (Tommy) of Cairo, Ga., Elaine Rudd Walsh of Tallahassee, two grandchildren, Dylon Louis Whiddon, Tyler Yates Whiddon children of Durrant and Michelle, two sisters-in-law, Bette Rudd and Esther Rudd Neese, and other cousins, nieces and nephews, and a host of many who loved her dearly and have many cherished memories of her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ivey Marietta Wiggins Rudd and Samuel Jackson Rudd, two brothers, Samuel Lester Rudd of Tallahassee and Herbert Eugene Rudd of Greenville, SC.
