James “Jim” Dierks of Tallahassee, FL passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2026 at the age of 82. Jim was born in Lowell, IN on May 24, 1943, son of Leo and Ruth Dierks. He was a beloved father, husband and Grampy. He was happily retired following a 35 year career with Sears.
Jim is survived by his wife, Joan; daughter Stacey Dierks of Orlando, FL; son Mark Dierks (Kristin and Thomas) of Raleigh, NC; son Tracey Morgan (Jennifer and Parker) of Chipley, FL; daughter Marcey Black (Sydney and Abigail) of Chipley, FL and sister Dee Wagner of Columbus, OH. He is predeceased by his late wife Pat (Patricia), Brother (Paul Dierks) and Sisters (Mary Jane Dierks, Barbara Mackey and Debbie Thompson).
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 3pm at Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home (1737 Riggins Road, Tallahassee, FL 32308). In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made in Jim’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105) or Second Harvest of the Big Bend (4446 Entrepot Boulevard Tallahassee, FL 32310).
