Funeral service will be held 11:00 am Thursday, October 21, 2010 at Oak City Assembly of God. Family will receive friends from 10:00 am until the service time.
A native of Tallahassee, he was a 1979 graduate of Godby High School. Jeff moved to Key Largo some twenty years ago. He was the owner of an appliance repair business there.
Survivors include his spouse of 20 years, Teri Caldwell, his parents, Sylvester and Jean Shields, his children, Jeff Shields
(Cari Gray), Wendy Rose Shields Barton (Zachariah), and Jessica Caldwell Shields, two brothers, Kevin Shields and Paul Shields (Terri) and two grandchildren, Jamie and Hunter Barton.
He was preceded in death by his sister in 1964, Cynthia Shields.
Memorials may be made to Oak City Assembly of God in Jeff’s memory.
