John Patrick Strohman, Jr, “Pat”, of Tallahassee, Florida, passed away at the age of 55 on February 5 after lengthy illness. Pat was a proud Florida native and relished being out in the natural world - the heat didn't faze him. He savored endless hours of bass fishing in the Ocala National Forest and in the lakes around Orlando. Music was a major passion. He learned to play guitar nearly on his own and he was an amazing lefty guitarist. He gave his dad a run for his money on the golf course and at the pool table! Those talents were only bested by his ability on the tennis court. He tried to pass on some of his skills to the youngsters that he enjoyed teaching.
Pat attended Valencia Community College. Afterward, he embarked on a career in computer programming, like his father. It became one of his lifelong pursuits, he assisted many friends and neighbors along the way.
One of his greatest gifts was his sense of humor and he really liked sharing it with others - whether they liked it or not.
Pat was preceded in death by his father, John Patrick Strohman, and sister, Teresa L. Strohman. Pat is survived by; his mother, Grace Earle Strohman (Lambert), brother A. Kyle Strohmann (Richard) and sisters Sandra E. Strohman and Tracee Strohman, many aunts and uncles, and numerous cousins.
No formal services will be held. In lieu of flowers, contributions to assist the family with Pat's final expenses may be made to: https://www.gofundme.com/john-patrick-strohman-jr or by clicking the link below.
