Jack was preceded in death by his lovely wife Jane Waggaman, with whom he was married for 57 years, and his step-grandson, Garrett Gordon. He leaves behind his son, Craig Waggaman, and his daughter, Jeanne Waggaman.
Jack was born in Detroit, Michigan, but grew up in Northern Indiana, in Marion and Muncie. He was in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, stationed in Japan. He came home, met Jane, and was married in April 1955. He attended Butler University, then Indiana University. John taught at Florida State University in Educational Leadership for 23 years, from 1972 until 1995. He was Chairman of the Library Committee at FSU for many years. He was an avid gardener and birder, and loved to travel.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 13th, at 2:00 pm, at Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home, 1737 Riggins Road, Tallahassee, FL 32308.
