Joshua Vanderpool

Josh graduated from Clay High School in 2004 and went on to receive his Bachelor of Science in Sport Management from Florida State University in 2007. At FSU, he was the recipient of the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship, the FSU Presidential Scholarship, and the Bill Jackson Memorial Scholarship. His professional career consisted of positions in sport management, communications, technology, sales, and marketing. There were a few things in Josh’s life that he was incredibly passionate about and soccer always topped that list. He played for the Clay County Rangers travel team, Clay High School Junior Varsity and Varsity teams, the FSU Men’s Club Team, and captained a 3v3 National Champions team. Josh eventually went on to share his love of the game with others by coaching youth soccer teams in the Tallahassee area, including TTHFC and Maclay School. Josh also loved spending time with his family, friends, and dog MJ; playing poker; and supporting events showcasing local foods and craft beers.

Josh is now reunited with his grandfather, David Travis and grandmother, Linda Vanderpool. He is survived by his parents, Jeff and Dawn Vanderpool; brother, JT Vanderpool; best friend and dog, MJ; and countless other family members and friends. Josh’s sense of humor and infectious smile will be deeply missed.

Celebration of Life for Josh Vanderpool

Please join us for a celebration of Josh’s life on Saturday, March 5, 2022 in the Upper East Club of the Jacksonville Jaguars’ Stadium (TIAA Bank Field). In Josh’s honor, the dress code is casual and feel free to represent your favorite sports team.

Schedule:

3:00pm – 3:30pm Celebration of Life Service

3:30pm – 6:00pm Food and Fellowship

Guests can park in lot C and D in front of the main entrance for the Upper East Club.
