Katheryn Hughes, 89, went to be with the Lord April 22, 2013.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Earl W. Hughes; her daughter, Catherine Ann Pennington; several beloved brothers and sisters and loved ones.

She is survived by three daughters, Faye Carroll of Bonifay, Florida, Karen Boatright of Tallahassee, Florida, Margarette Hampton (Mike) of North Augusta, South Carolina; eight grandchildren, Kevin Pennington (Lori), Amy Kurtz (Brian), Clay Carroll, D. D. Smith (Trace), Aaron Hampton (Shantel), Drew Boatright (Lauren) and Tim Hampton (Cheryl); great grandchildren, Brandon Kurtz, Logan Kurtz, Andrea Florez, Taylor Florez, Tyler Hampton, Joshua Hampton, Elijah Boatright, Carter Hampton and Parker Hampton; extended great grandchildren, Zack Smith, Gracie Smith, Lisa-Janee Rosier, Katherine Rosier and Wesley Rosier.

A celebration of her life will be held 1:00 PM, Thursday, April 25, 2013, at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, Timberlane Road Chapel. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Culley's MeadowWood Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blv., Tallahassee, Florida.
