

Larry Earl Gibson passed away in Tallahassee, Florida on May 6, 2018. He was born on July 14, 1948 in Quincy,, Florida to Lloyd E. Gibson and Lorine Clark. He was a Vietnam veteran and served as a Staff Sargent in the United States Air Force from 1972-1976.
He was married to Sandy Gibson in Tallahassee, Florida on May 2, 1982. Larry was a computer programmer for the Leon County Data Processing Department and Florida Department of Education. He enjoyed following his favorite football teams, the Florida State Seminoles and Jacksonville Jaguars.
He is survived by his wife Sandy M. Gibson, daughters, Candice Gibson and Heather Gibson Essig; his step-daughters Paula Jimenez Quirk and Priscilla M. Jimenez, and his two grandchildren Emily and Evan Quirk, his parents Lloyd E. Gibson, Lorine Clark, sister Wanda Parsons, brother Jerry Gibson and many nieces and nephews.
A viewing will take place at Culley’s MeadowWood - Timberlane Road Chapel on May 10th from 6-8pm. The funeral service will be held at Culley’s at 10am with the burial following at the Tallahassee National Cemetery at noon. The family requests the presence of all guests at the burial to witness the military honor service at the cemetery.
Reception with lunch to follow at 1pm, at Culley’s Timberlane Road Chapel.
Funeral arrangements are provided by Culley’s Funeral Home and the Big Bend Honor Guard.
