Leslie was born in Palm Beach County to Walter and Doris Young, joining her big brother, Smokey.
Leslie was educated in Central Florida and as an adult, moved with her family to Tallahassee.
She was a lifelong Democrat raised in a household of Republicans.
She is survived by two daughters, Katie Reiff (Fred) and Scottie Thurman, along with three grandchildren, Colby, Chason and Mary Kate.
Leslie retired from the State of Florida employment and was proud to be involve in improving the education of our Florida students. Her hobbies were READING, landscaping, interior decorating and designing jewelry for her family and friends. She loved ice cream and dachshunds!
Funeral services will be private and held at a later date. Leslie hopes that her ashes will be spread in the ocean at St. George Island, so she can contribute to the sparkle in the water. Leslie will be missed by all who know her and loved her.
