A native of Clay, Kentucky, he first moved to Florida in 1953 to teach math at Bolles School in Jacksonville. In 1956, he entered the computer industry and worked on projects at Eglin Air Force Base, Cape Canaveral, Redstone Arsenal and for General Electric in Phoenix, AZ, and Daytona Beach, Florida. In 1974, he moved to Tallahassee to assist with introducing computers to the public school system. Lewis is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Elberta Nall.
He is survived by his brother Richard Nall of Clay, KY; three daughters, Sarah E. Nall (E. Lee Worsham) of Hobe Sound, FL; Cynthia Bailey of Jupiter, FL; and Barbara Smith (Stephen G. Smith) of Panama City, FL; and eight grandchildren, Matthew Worsham of Hobe Sound, and Aaron Smith, Emily Smith, Stephanie Smith, Heather Smith, Hilliary Smith, Rosalie Smith, and Margaret Smith of Panama City.
A gathering of friends and family was held on January 17, 2011 at Westminster Oaks in Tallahassee.
