Lois A Berry

Heaven. Beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, godmother, and

friend.

She was an active member of All Saints Anglican Church, Daughter of the Holy Cross, Order of

the Eastern Star, and Daughters of the Nile.

She was born in Port Orange, FL but grew up in Jacksonville Beach FL during the Depression and

WWII Era, graduating from Fletcher High School. I was a small town then where everyone knew each

other. So when she met someone new, she soon learned all about them, their family, their work, and

where they were from. And she remembered it all! Everyone was important to her throughout her life.

A tribute from her children state her constant and continuing positive voice in their heads. No

matter the trials or tribulations, she always told us we were Good People and always had God; so we

could achieve anything, no matter what.

We will always hear Mom’s beautiful singing voice and know she is singing praises to God. And

we know with her heart of service, she is performing a myriad of tasks for Him.

Lois is survived by her Brother, Dougless Akins, her Children (and their spouses), Elizabeth Lewis,

Robert Quarterman and Mary Shanley, and Merry and Steve Berry, her Grandchildren, Jeremiah Carter,

Allison and Kenny Mathieson, Evan and Katherine Quarterman, Michael Quarterman, Conor and Kendra

Quarterman, Ian and Becca Berry, and Gregor Berry, her Great Grandchildren, Wesley Carter, Gunnar

and Isabel Quarterman, Olivia Berry, and Josephine Mathiesen.

A funeral service for Lois will be held Saturday, January 11, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, 1737 Riggins Road, Tallahassee, Florida 32308. A Graveside with order of the Eastern Star Service will occur Monday, January 13, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Hardage Giddens Greenlawn Cemetery, 4300 Beach Blvd, Jacksonville, Florida 32207.

Donations are requested in lieu of flowers to either the REST fund of the Order of the Eastern

Star through Washington Chapter, PO Box 762, Quincy or Big Bend Hospice, Tallahassee.
