

Mike was born in Rome, New York, graduated from Florida State University, and was employed by the State of Florida for over 40 years. He also was a member of the Army Reserves and was activated as a Captain during Operation Desert Storm. Mike was always passionate about his family, friends, and country.
Mike was a loving Husband, devoted Father and loving Grandfather. He left behind his wife Susan, daughter Kristina, son Drew, and grandchildren Brian, Brittany, and Kayla.
Mike was a loving brother, leaving behind his four siblings: Lou (Lin) Mentillo, Jackie (Bill) Johnson, Rob (Holly) Mentillo and Mary (Carla) Mentillo. In addition, Mike was also a loving brother-in-law to: Laurie (Randy) McRae, Mary Lambert, and Lisa (Edward) Lux.
Mike left behind numerous nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces that he also loved and adored.
Mike was preceded in death by his father and mother, Louis and Gladys Mentillo, father-in-law Robert Anderson, brother-in-law, Russell Lambert, sister-in-law, Carol Anderson, and cousin, Rene Mentillo. Mike will be greatly missed forever by all his family and friends.
A visitation for Michael will be held Sunday, July 20, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Culley's (1737 Riggins Road, Tallahassee). A funeral mass will occur Monday, July 21, 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, (624 Miccosukee Rd, Tallahassee, Florida 32308) followed by a reception.
Michael will be laid to rest in Tallahassee National Cemetery, 5015 Apalachee Parkway, Tallahassee, Florida 32308.
