Millicent "Millie" Sanders Jacobs

Millicent Sanders Jacobs, 91, a former resident of Tampa, FL, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 30, 2024, surrounded by her loving family at Your Life Assisted Living in Tallahassee, Florida. Born September 23, 1932 in Langdale, AL, she was the daughter of the late M.R. Sanders and Eula McGarvin Sanders.

She is survived by her husband, John O’Malie Jacobs; daughter, Marian Millicent Jacobs; son, John O’Malie Jacobs, Jr. and his wife, Angie; daughter, Catherine Jacobs Newell and her husband, Dave; grandchildren, Caitlin Newell Cousins, Haley Kathryn Jacobs, Emily Newell McCullough (Nate), Meagan Marie Jacobs, Jayne Jacobs Johnston (Merrill), and Nicholas Jacob Newell. She had a great grandchild, Maverick McCullough. Mille was married to the love of her life and soul mate, John, for 68 beautiful years. Their marriage was an example of commitment and unity to all that knew them..

Millie had many interests. She loved spending time with family and friends, playing the organ and piano for her church and Sunday School class and was a passionate Auburn Tigers fan. She enjoyed traveling with John and was an avid bridge player for many years. Millie also loved to minister to her friends and family by sharing daily scripture verses. She cherished her family dearly and will be greatly missed.

A celebration of her life will be held Thursday, September 5, 2024 at 1:00 pm EST; Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home and Memorial Park at 700 Timberlane Road, Tallahassee, FL 32312
