Nancy J. Edwards

Nancy Jo Edwards, 58, of Tallahassee, Florida, passed away on June 7, 2015 in Parrott, Georgia. She was born at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital on February 23, 1956 to Joe and Brooksie Edwards. Nancy was the youngest of three sisters.

Nancy grew up in Tallahassee. She attended Leon High School, and moved on to Florida State University where she got her nursing degree. During her younger professional years, she worked as a registered nurse in Thomasville, Georgia, St. Petersburg, Florida and Tallahassee. Later in life, Nancy became quite successful designing pharmaceutical cabinets. She also did architectural drawings for pharmacies, hospitals and medical offices.

Nancy loved her horses and also loved to travel. She traveled to several countries around the world, many on horseback. Nancy faithfully attended the First United Methodist Church in Parrott, Georgia.

Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Brooksie Edwards, and her sister, Sue Ellen Parsons. She is survived by her sister, Mary Edwards Wimberly, and brother in law, Bob Wimberly, Athens, Georgia; three nephews, Rob Wimberly, Charleston, South Carolina ,Brooks Wimberly, Athens, Georgia, and Taylor Parsons, Tallahassee, Florida; her niece, Kelley Parsons Lemmings, Cartersville, Georgia. Nancy will be missed by several cousins and friends, two especially, Pamela Mazzone, Auburn, Alabama, and Gary Buford, Parrott, Georgia.

A private family service will be held at Roselawn Cemetery in Tallahassee, Florida.
