

Ouida was valedictorian of her class at Monticello High School in 1947,
She was also Tax Collector in Monticello and was the first woman to be elected to the school board.
She was a member of Bradfordville Baptist Church. Ouida lived her live rooted in her Christian faith and guided by unwavering devotion to those she loved. She filled her earlier days with service, both to God and to others- offering wisdom, kindness and compassion to anyone blessed to know her.
Ouida enjoyed needlecrafts and made Christmas stockings for all of her grandchildren. In her younger years was an avid golfer and tennis enthusiast.
Ouida was preceded in death by her husband Donald Ehler, daughter, Melanie Melder and her brother, John McClellan.
She is survived by her daughter Rosemary Baker (Rick); stepson, Donie Ehler (Meagan); grandchildren, Linsey Oberman (Thomas), Lesley Harrison, Robin Baker, Andy Baker (Karla), Ryan Baker (Katherine), Ramsey Safley (Brad), Joshua Baker, Trent Ehler and Blake Ehler; her great-grandchildren, Payton Baker, Audrey Baker, Evan Baker, Lila Baker, Baker Safley, Brooke Safley, Ainsley Safley, Saylor Safley, Piper Baker, Hadley Harrison and Hudson Harrison. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews from Florida to Arizona.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life, share stories and give thanks for her incredible life on December 6, 2025 at 11:00 am at the McGuire Center of Westminster Oaks in Tallahassee, FL.
Ouida’s legacy of faith and love will life on in all who knew her.
