
Robert Anthony “Rob” Langsam, 45, of Tallahassee, FL passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2015. Born in Queens, NY on December 18, 1969 to parents Robert L. and Madeline Avella Langsam (Dec.). Rob moved to the Tallahassee area over 20 years ago from Boca Raton, Fl. Rob attended the University of Michigan, and was a successful businessman. He began his career in the financial sector before opening a cigar shop in Naples, FL. He owned and operated Big Daddy’s on Tennessee Street in Tallahassee, and later moved across the street to Tomahawk Sports Bar & Grill in 2010. Two years later he opened three locations under his own Atomic Coffee franchise.
Rob enjoyed baseball, and coached his son Jacob’s team. His family were avid FSU fans, following the baseball and football teams, and often traveled with the team games. Rob started the Tomahawk Travel Team organization. Rob was a family man, and no matter how busy his career was, he always made time for his sons. He attended their games and was very involved in their lives. Rob was known for having a big heart and often made friends wherever he went.
Rob is survived by his wife Jolene Hazelwood Langsam, and his sons, Jacob and Tyler of Tallahassee, FL.; father, Robert L. Langsam of CA., brothers, Vincent Langsam of TX and Michael Langsam of CA.; sister, Christine Williams of VA. He is preceded in death by his mother, Madeline Avella Langsam.
A Visitation will be held on Wed., January 21, 2015 from 5-7 PM at Culley’s Meadowwood Funeral Home, 700 Timberlane Rd., Tallahassee, FL. 32312.
