Born in Baker County, Georgia on April 4, 1929, to RA and Clara Bell Rentz, she was one of seven siblings. Thelma (or Tee as she preferred) was an excellent student and would go on to earn a PHD. In many ways, she was very much ahead of her time.
Tee enjoyed her work in the medical field and was an early champion for mental health. She was married to the love of her life, Chester Nalls, of whom she was fond of saying, “When God made Chester Nalls, He broke the mold because there never was a better man.”
Tee was a woman of deep faith in Christ, and it is with a great sense of peace that her friends and family know that not only is she now reunited with her loved ones who have passed on before her, but more importantly, that she is resting in the arms of Jesus, the author and perfecter of her faith.
Tee is survived by her brother Buddy Rentz, her sister Cathy Robinson, her son Jim Nalls, her three grandchildren David Nalls, Amanda Taylor, and Justin Nalls, and her seven great grandchildren. Even though they were unrelated she also claimed Bobby Stewart and Mike Partin as sons, and they loved her faithfully.
The funeral service will be held at Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home, 1737 Riggins Road, Tallahassee, FL 32308 on Monday, February 17, 2025. The viewing will be at 12:00, followed by the service at 1:00, and the burial at 2:30 at Tallahassee Memory Gardens.
