Blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted. Matthew 5:4. To the family and friends of Deacon Ted Penny, we offer our sincere condolences and prayers for strength, comfort, and healing. Deacon Penny was a very dedicated and humble servant of God.  We met Deacon Penny in 2012 at the passing of our mother and mother-in-law, Emma Lou Williams. Deacon Penny, Deacon Chalmus Thomas and the Greater Mt. Zion PBC went above and beyond and embraced us. We stayed in contact in the years after and he was always encouraging and set a good example of christian servanthood. Deacon Penny can now sit at the welcome table, feast on milk and honey, shout his troubles over, servant of God well done. His battle is fought, his victory won. Well done thy good and faithful servant. Deacon Penny has put aside his earthly tabernacle and put on the righteousness of Christ. We mourn his passing, but not as those who have no hope. Absent from the body, present with the Lord. May the family find comfort in a life well lived. Servant of God well done.

Although I never had the opportunity to have meet Decon Peny.I have heard so much about such a wonderful Man with such a kind heart,My partner Mr. BENJAMIN FARMER and Decon Penny Attended the same church to be honest he was his Decon @ the church Mt.Zion.
To the Family Although  his life was taken way to soon but Just from the good I've heard about him there is no doubt that he was welcomed in Heaven  with open arms. Although  know the hurt & pain you all are feeling. I pray that  God continues  to give you all strength as well as peace.

My condolences to the family and his children I’ve been knowing Deacon Penny most of all my life he was a kind and God fearing man.Every time I saw him he was always very well dressed and low spoken voice never raising his voice a very important man in my church that I grew up in Greater Mount Zion Primitive Baptist Church of Tallahassee,fl.He was my deacon that I chose to be put under his leadership and was also my daughter’s Godfather he will be greatly missed take your rest well done God’s servant.🙏🏽❤️🥹❤️

Our loss as well. We loved deacon penny and he will always be in our heart. Earth have no sorrows that heaven cannot heal.

A neighbor, a friend, and a wonderful spiritual brother.  Theodore, and I, along with my late brothers, we grew up from childhood together.  We have served and worshipped together at many churches and at various capacities.   Deacon Penny, you will be missed, because there aren't many real folks in and away from the church that believe and real stand for right, good, edification and the real desire to build on the Kingdom of God.  You have done well servant.  Rest on.
