Timothy “Timmy” was born in Quincy, Florida, on October 19, 1962, to Dorothy and Trammel Black, his loving parents and devoted caregivers.
Timmy graduated from Lincoln High School where he was a member of the Lincoln Trojan Band. He attended Florida State University, where his courses included religious studies. In his work career he was a computer programmer for several banks and the State of Florida. Always an avid reader, he kept up to date on national political topics and community activities in Tallahassee and could quote Florida State Seminole statistics any time you asked.
His family is saddened by this loss but knows Timmy is with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and was considered a part of the Miccosukee Methodist Church that his family attended. He was a devoted Christian who communed with his Lord daily. We all smile when we think of the reunion he must be having with his grandparents, an uncle he was so fond of and many other friends and loved ones. These loved ones certainly greeted him with open arms.
Timmy is survived by his mother and father, Dorothy and Trammel Black; two brothers, John Black, Terry Black; and a sister, Traci (Black) Billingsley. He was proud to be the godparent for Christopher Williams and Dylan Roberts who he loved dearly. He also leaves behind nieces and nephews, Terry Lee, Tristian, Reece, Tori, Mariona, Trammel, Carson, Adam, Tyger; and one great niece, Maddie Grace; several aunts, uncles, cousins; and many friends who will remember him as a kind and generous person who saw only the goodness in others.
A visitation will be held at Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home located at 1737 Riggins Rd., Tallahassee, FL 32308, on Monday, October 27, 2025, 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
