Virginia Diane (Tharpe) Alley passed away December 15, 2020 at Specialty Select Hospital after a brief illness. Born March 25, 1967 in Tallahassee, she was the only child born to Fletcher Tharpe and Peggy Ann (Ford) Tharpe. She was named after her great-grandmother Annie Virginia (Perry) Horne. She spent much of her formative years in and around Wakulla county and Tallahassee and attended Gretchen Everhart school. Upon the passing of her mother she became a long time resident of Forest Oak group home. She was always polite and happy and loved the color purple. She was predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her aunt, Gloria Derby (John); her uncles, Gary (Jan), Glenn (Debbie) and Greg (Cheryl) Westberg; and numerous cousins. A special "Thank You" to all the many caregivers at Forest Oak who attended her daily and gave her so much love and care.
Visitation will be held at Culley's MeadowWood Funeral Home, 1737 Riggins Road on Sunday, December 20, 2020 from 2pm-3:30pm. A private graveside service will be held at New Light Church Cemetery on Monday, December 21, 2020.
