Ginny was born October 25, 1932 in Pensacola to Emil and Daisy Rolfs. She graduated from Pensacola High School in 1949 and attended Pensacola Junior College.
Ginny married Glenn McClellan in 1960, moving to Tallahassee that same year where they raised their son, Bobby. After Glenn passed away, Ginny married J.C. Fortenberry, or as she called him, Jay. They made their home together in Tallahassee on River Birch Hollow. Most afternoons they could be found outside visiting with neighbors. Ginny and Jay enjoyed visiting her family in Pensacola especially, boating excursions on The Entertainer and travelling to Mississippi to visit Jay’s mother and siblings.
Ginny is survived by her son, Robert “Bobby” McClellan, a stepdaughter and son-in-law Sandra and Harvey Buchanan, her sister, Evelyn Andrews, niece Nancy Andrews and seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
In addition to Glenn McClellan and J.C. Fortenberry, Ginny was predeceased by her parents, Emil and Daisy Rolfs, brother Dr. Herman Rolfs, brother-in-law, Gerald Andrews and nephew Jerry Andrews.
