William Hubbard, 91, passed away May 3, 2012 at Westminster Oaks Health Center from complications from a stroke. Born in Danville, VA, September 11, 1920, he served in the U.S. Navy in World War II. He also was a Mason and a Shriner.
A graveside service will be held Sunday, May 6, 2:00 p.m. at Culley's Meadowood, Timberlane Road with Rev. E. Wayne Curry officiating.
He is survived by Bill Hubbard, Jr. (wife Linda) of Newnan, GA and Cookie Darnell (husband Franklin) of Tallahassee; three grandchildren: Kim Wise (husband Winn) of Newnan, GA., Chip Darnell of Tallahassee and Tripp Hubbard (wife Kelly) of Santa Rosa Beach, FL; four great-grandchildren: Maggie and Preston Wise and Molly and Kegley Hubbard and two sisters-in-law: Olivia Hubbard and Mildred Blackstock of Jacksonville.
He was preceded in death by his devoted wife, Thelma and brother, George Hubbard.
