Thinking about you!   Mom and I shared thoughts of you tonight!   She misses you so much.  You were such a loving husband.

Dearest Dad,

I can hardly believe you are not with us!!! I miss you dearly.  Our daily phone calls in which you always picked up my spirits and made me laugh.  The loving Grandfather you were to Blaine....he has so many memories.  You have taught him so much.  He was so proud of you.  You truly were his Mr. America.  The way you made him smile was so beautiful to witness.  You will be daily and forever in my heart.  I know you are playing cards and resting in peace. Pat, Charlie and I wish you strength during this difficult time.  Al will surely be missed by all of us.  Our prayers are with you and your family.

Mr. King, I will never forget one of the first times I ate dinner with your family, you asked me if I would like some roast with dinner and I said yes and you plopped the entire roast with a totally straight face - on my plate, OMG I was so scared and then everybody laughed. I tell that story over and over again and everybody laughs, you are such a great man and will be missed. Denise sorry I can't be there but I am thinking and praying for you and your family, please give your mom a huge and kiss from me. Love you all ;o)

Al (Mr. America as we always called him) was an amazing man.  He was fun, loving, compassionate, caring and a huge part of our family life.  "We loved him like a brother". We looked forward to his phone calls that were always with humor no matter what pain he was going through.  What a guy.  Our hearts go out to you and the family Pat.  I never got to say good bye but I love you. I will always remember your funny jokes and songs like " pickles in the middle and the mustered on top that's the way I like and its really hot!" you used to take us to our favorite restaurant golden corral and stake and shake! also when you took coralie and I to the pool and we used to ride home in the trunk!
