I met Dobby in 1962 when we both performed at the annual 6th form association concert at XLCR high school. Dobby was on his way to becoming one of the most popular, singer/songwriters, in Jamaica.
I was also the DJ for "Tres" disco "very popular in the1960's" and we played a lot of Dobbie's music. My favorite Dobby song is "Sweet Dreams" We lost touch when Dobby migrated to the USA.
Fast forward to early 2000's, I reconnected with Dobby when I started attending Village United Methodist Church and we became church brothers. Dobbie Attended church regularly and we both became involved in church life, singing and working with the men's fellowship. I am going to miss our friendly chats, our musical discussions and most of all just reminiscing about the "good old days" Dobbie my Brother, my friend, I pray that your soul will rest in peace and we will meet again when God's kingdom comes.

Dobby, your passing was sudden. I have the best memory of you as I am on your "Sweet Dreams Album" We were pretending to drink milk shake made of soap and water the straws were macaroni. You warned me make sure you don't pull on the macaroni or you are in trouble .

Love and Sweet Dreams may your soul rest in peace. Your music will live on and I am sure will make a lot of people happy.
