Born in Kingston, Jamaica, to Pearline Peart and Stanley Simmonds, Patricia was the eldest of ten children on her mother’s side, and the third of five children on her father’s side. A trained hair stylist, Patricia immigrated to Canada in 1971, where she spent a decade building a life and community. In 1983, she returned to Jamaica and established a small business, which she managed with pride and dedication until 2016, when she moved to the United States to join her siblings, settling in Sunrise, Florida.
Patricia was a devoted mother to her daughter, Natalie Clarke, a cherished grandmother to Kwame and Kadian and a beloved great-grandmother to Jahmani and Skylen; she is also survived by brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and a host of cherished friends. Her legacy of love, strength, and unwavering faith lives on through her family. She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Sunrise, where she found joy and fellowship in her later years.
Patricia will be remembered for her kind heart, entrepreneurial spirit, and enduring devotion to her family and faith.
