Anna was born in Brooklyn NY to Jose Angel Roman and Ana Luz Figueroa Roman on August 10, 1959. She was the beautiful second child of ten born in the loving Roman family. After the family moved to Florida, she graduated from Leto High School and attended Hillsborough Community College for Business. She married the love of her life, Richard Allen Merriman on May 13, 1984 in Tampa, FL. She worked for 20 years as an administrative Assistant at GE Capital on the JCPenney Account. She then went on to work for and retire from CRC where she was a state licensed underwriter. She also worked for years alongside the husband she adored helping out on weekends at Richard’s Cafe. The customers were always so happy to see her smiling face and also purchase some of the delicious baked goods Anna was known for. They were all good, but the cookies and pies were especially best sellers. She always baked dozens of batches of assorted cookies every year for her lucky family and they were the highlight of every gathering. Baking was definitely her love language.

To say that Anna will be missed by her family is an understatement. She was humble and kind and was someone who gave completely of herself to everyone. She was always the first one to reach out to anyone who needed help. She was a loving wife to Richard. She adored Nathaniel, and Amanda was her best friend. She loved them with all her heart and wanted only the best for them. She truly loved her family. Even at the very end, she was thinking of her family first by calling every one of her brothers and sisters to tell them how much she loved them. Anna had a quiet strength and courage to her, and that along with her loving, giving nature is what she leaves behind as a beautiful legacy to all who were lucky enough to know and love her. Rest easy until we meet again sweet Anna.
