Arnold L Goins

Arnold L. Goins age 90 passed away at home in Lutz, Florida on April 17, 2022 after a long battle with Parkinsons Disease. Arnold was born January 7, 1932 in Lyles, Tennessee to Mary and Calvin Goins.

Arnold graduated from Turkey Creek High School in Dover, FL and soon after served in the U.S. Navy as a Machinist’s Mate Second Class. During his service he met his wife of 69 years, Mary E. Goins.

He took great pride in his work ethic as an electrical engineer for GTE, finally retiring from Verizon. Arnold loved the great outdoors. He was a gardener with a passion of growing vegetables and saving trees. He loved to bird watch and paint in his spare time. Most importantly he loved to worship and serve his Lord.

Arnold was proceeded in death by his beloved son, Arnold David Goins; son in law, Dean Cains; parents, Mary and Calvin Goins; 2 sisters and 6 brothers.

He is survived by his wife, Mary E. Goins of Lutz, FL; his children, Sherry Cifuentes (Joe), Clinton, AR, Mark Goins, Los Angeles, CA, Lalani Cains of Lutz, FL, Timothy Goins of Lutz, FL.

Arnold has 9 grand children and 12 great grand children and a multitude of very special nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Arnold will be held Saturday, April 23, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Blount & Curry FH-Carrollwood, 3207 W Bearss Ave, Tampa, FL 33618. A funeral service will occur Saturday, April 23, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM, 3207 W Bearss Ave, Tampa, FL 33618. A graveside service & military honors will occur Saturday, April 23, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Lutz Cemetery, 201-217 5th Ave. NE, Lutz, FL 33549.
