Betty Jean Rogers 92, of Tampa passed away surrounded by her family on Wednesday, August 6, 2025. She was the beloved wife of James L. “Roy” Rogers who preceded her in death by nine years. Betty was loved by her three daughters, Jan Rogers Griffin (Kenny Griffin), Connie Rogers Harris (Bill Harris) and Patti Rogers. She was adored by her grandchildren Cori Harris Stone (Matt Stone), Jerad Griffin (Calen Griffin) and Ashley Griffin Bunger (Stephen Bunger).
Betty had eight beautiful great-grandchildren that she loved, Hayden Stone, Harrison Stone, Jude Griffin, Luke Griffin, Jack Griffin, Nora Griffin, Owen Griffin and Arden Bunger.
Betty had many close friends and she always welcomed many to family dinners that were always delicious. She was especially known for her famous chicken and dumplings. She was so much fun to be around and was always sassy, laughing and smiling.
Our lives will never be the same without her but we know one day we will see her again because of her faith in God.
Funeral service will take place on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at 11:00AM at Plant City Church of God, 2103 Mud Lake Rd, Plant City, FL 33566. The family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior at the church.
