He earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Missouri State University, Springfield, MO. After graduation he served in the Army, stationed in Fort Carson, Colorado, where he met his wife of 55 years, Janet. (He earned the rank of 1st Lieutenant before he left active duty and later served 6 years in the Army Reserves.) They lived in Seattle, Washington where he worked for Boeing, and then later moved to the Boston area. Eventually they settled in Sudbury, Massachusetts where they raised their four children. They later relocated to their lake home in Deerfield, New Hampshire. In 1988 they bought a home in Englewood, FL where they spent their winters. His biggest hobby was his family- he enjoyed having his children and grandchildren visit both at the lake in New Hampshire and in Florida, where he loved to go for boat rides. He spent the last several years of his life caring for his wife through a long and difficult sickness. She precedes him in death by less than a year. David is survived by his four children: Philip (Lorraine) Davidson of Deerfield, NH, Neal (Christina) Davidson of Sterling, MA, Marsha Davidson of Warsaw, Poland, and Joanne (Jens) Ibsen of Tampa, Florida.
