

Dioselina came to the United States from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic as an immigrant in 1993. She worked a minimum wage job until she and Heriberto purchased their first home once her mom and dad allowed her to move to Florida where she decided at the age of 44 to get her CNA license. Knowing no English Dioselina studied for months learning and repeating everything to her children in English. She retired as a CNA last year. Dioselina was proud to have became a US citizen in 2015.
She loved her plants, enjoyed sewing, doing crossword puzzles and was all about fashion but most of all Dioselina loved her family. She would often say being together as a family made her complete.
Dioselina is precedent in the death of her parents, Teresa Rosa and Juan Ricardo Polanco. She is survived by her husband, Heriberto Valerio; her children, Ayessa Valerio, Eric Valerio and Jonathan Valerio; brothers and sisters, Juan Richard Polanco, Fausto Rosa, Ana Mercede Rosa, Francisco Jose Perez De La Rosa, Ironeis Perez Rosa; grandchildren, Dasia Alston, Jahnayla Alston, Yarissa Alston, Jaianna Lambert, Jaylani Valerio, Mia Valerio, Erilis Valerio, Nyah Valerio, Nelly Valerio and Blaze Valerio.
A visitation for Dioselina will be held Friday, December 8, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Blount & Curry Funeral Home-Carrollwood located at 3207 W Bearss Ave, Tampa, FL 33618. A celebration of life will occur Saturday, December 9, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 3207 W Bearss Ave, Tampa, FL 33618. A graveside service will occur Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Myrtle Hill Memorial Park, 4202 E LAKE AVE, TAMPA, FL 33610.
