Dorothy Theresa Joffray

She is survived by her four children and their spouses: Michael and Jill Lyons, Penny and Bruce Martin, Jeri and Dennis Robinson, and Laurie and Joseph Gagliano. Dorothy also has 10 grandchildren: Gary, Bryan, Patrick, Monte, Amanda, Mason, Joshua, Matthew, Marie and Joseph. Her sixteen great grandchildren are: Riley, Spencer, Charlotte, Kaylin, Annabelle, Ezekiel, Eden, Isaiah, Evan, Mia, Anna, Joel, Seth, Micah, Max, Adonis, and Emery.

Dorothy is the last surviving child of seven. She was predeceased by Grace Gunther, George Green, Gloria Ashlaw, Gerald Green, Gordon Green, Graham Green, Gerald Lyons, her first husband, and Gary Joffray, her second husband. Additional known surviving relatives are sister-in-law Linda Green, sister-in-law Charlotte Green Edwards and nephew, Nick (Skeet) Izzo.

Dorothy graduated from Brewster Vocational and Hillsborough Community and worked as a Lab Technician, retiring from Tampa General Hospital in 1998. She had a wide variety of interests and was an Amateur Radio Operator with a General License. She loved to read a variety of subjects, knit, crochet, quilt, play golf, listen to all kinds of music, keep a journal, volunteer at St. Josephs Children's Cancer Center, host tea parties, and spend lots of time with her family. She lived a full life, facing challenges as a positive person and loved to tell people she had a 'wonderful life'.

A visitation for Dorothy will be held Wednesday, February 2, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Blount & Curry FH-Carrollwood, 3207 W Bearss Ave, Tampa, FL 33618, followed by a funeral service from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
