Esther Roman passed away at age 76 on August 27, 2021 at 9:47pm in Seffner, Florida. She was born in Brooklyn, New York to parents, Elvira Badillo and Juan Gregorio Roman on June 20, 1945. She was a graduate of Bay Ridge High School. Esther took great pride in her work ethic as a medical coder for Lutheran Medical Center and Sloan Kettering Medical for over 35 years. She loved to cook and eat all of the sugar. Esther was known for her love of animals, which was more than most humans, but she loved her family most of all, except for Tom Selleck. Esther really loved Tom Selleck. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Anastacio Rivera; her children, Debra, John, and Esther Rivera; her son in law, Rolando Rivera and her two grandchildren, David and Giselle Cortes. Esther Roman frequently donated to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, ASPCA, and Wounded Warriors and considered herself a philanthropist.
A visitation for Esther will be held Thursday, September 2, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Blount & Curry FH-Carrollwood, 3207 W Bearss Ave, Tampa, FL 33618, followed by a funeral service from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.
