

Frank Waite VanDeBoe, age 84, of Plant City, Florida passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2021. Frank was born January 24, 1936 in Los Angeles, California to Charles & Mary VanDeBoe. At a very young age, Frank moved to Tampa, Florida where he spent the next 60 years before moving to Plant City in 1999.
Frank retired from Continental Can Company after 32 years of service and began working part time at Rogers Park Golf Course as the course ranger. After moving to Walden Lake in Plant City, Frank perfected his golf game with his favorite partner and Wife of 53 years, Sharon.
Frank is survived by his loving Wife, Sharon VanDeBoe; Children: Lisa VanDeBoe, Frankie VanDeBoe (Tabetha), Erin Wightman (Steve), Laurie Johnson (Robby); Grandchildren: Amber Sandhoff (John), Kacie Swann (Jason), Lindsay Miller, Jay Addington, Taylor VanDeBoe, Hunter VanDeBoe, Jessica Johnson, Emily Johnson, Reese VanDeBoe; Great-Grandchildren: Ryan Sandhoff, Cami Sandhoff, Ava Miller, Grady Sandhoff, Sullivan Swann.
Nothing was more important to Frank than his family. He was everyone’s favorite Little League Coach, spending countless hours at the ball fields after a long day’s work. His grandchildren will never forget the many golf lessons, tips for hitting home runs, golf cart rides to feed the ducks, impromptu competitions or one of his many elaborate stories. Mostly everyone will remember his warm welcome, his big smile and his resolute devotion to his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A visitation for will be held Wednesday, January 20, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories, 4207 East Lake Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610, followed by a funeral service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
