Gary Delane Burger

Gary was born on November 30, 1949, in Marietta, Georgia, to Maude and Roy.

He was the owner of Gary Burger LLC and worked as a residential building contractor. Gary proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.

In 1968, he became a founding member (Initiate No. 25) of the Tau Kappa Epsilon social fraternity at Georgia State University, where he later served as Sergeant-at-Arms.

Gary was known for his dedication and commitment throughout his life. He enjoyed golfing, teaching his sons how to play guitar, passing on his knowledge of the family business, and cooking wonderful meals for his family and friends.

He is survived by his life partner of 39 years, Linda Carroll; his sons, Jason and Jarod; and his brother, Anthony, and his wife, Mary, along with their children, Emily and Anthony Jr. He was preceded in death by his parents, Maude and Roy.

A celebration of life will be held at Blount & Curry Funeral Home – Carrollwood on November 22, 2025, at 12:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to veterans’ or homeless charities of your choice, or to the Liberty Hill Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 93, Englewood, TN 37329, or to The Salvation Army.

Gary will be remembered for his hard-working nature, kindness, strength, craftsmanship, generosity, the love he shared with those closest to him, and for the contributions he made to those around him.
