GRIFFITH, George B. "Bern", 89, died peacefully on October 29, 2022 under the care of LifePath Hospice in Tampa. Born in Chicago, Bern spent 40 years in California. He was a graduate of Pepperdine University, his career as an AeroSpace Engineer with Rockwell spanned 30 years.
Bern was a fascinating man who enjoyed a life of many interests. World traveling, sailing, archeology, and an insatiable love of learning. Upon retirement he moved to Florida, living in Tarpon Springs, Sun City Center, and the last 20 years in Tampa at the former John Knox Village where he leaves many good friends. His ready smile and great sense of humor will be missed by many.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jane, three devoted stepsons, their wives and children, brother Dr. Thomas Griffith, nieces June and Ellen, nephew David, extended family and numerous friends.
