George was an amazing father and friend; we will miss him. He will always be remembered as someone who worked tirelessly to support his family and he led by example. He enjoyed hunting and loved to chat with his friends over a glass of cognac.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Leona (Tucknott); daughters Erica (Hamblen) and Candace, and son Matthew; near-daughter Tanya; son-in-law Stewart and his grandchildren Elise and Evelyn; his dear sister Phyllis and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Patricia McEneely, brothers Thomas and James O’Connor and his first grandchild, Cody James O’Connor.
A Visitation will be held at Blount & Curry Funeral Home- Carrollwood Chapel, 3207 W Bearss Ave, Tampa, Florida 33618 on Friday, January 7, 2022 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.. Burial will be at St. Adalbert Catholic Cemetery, 6800 N. Milwaukee Ave, Niles, IL 60714.
