

Gretchen Isabeau Shirley Vincent was born in Brooklyn New York at Down State Medical Center to Jacob Vincent Sr. and Jacqueline Dautruche on June 26, 1971. She went to school at Hebron SDA Bilingual School in Brooklyn New York, then Vernon L Davie Junior High in East Orange New Jersey and finished her Bachelors at Rutgers University in Newark New Jersey with a degree in Languages and International Affairs. She worked at an attorney’s office for many of her adult years as an Executive Assistance in New York city. Once the attorney retired Gretchen tried her hands at many different occupations. She was fluent in the language of French, German, and Creole and traveled to European countries to hone her love of language.
Gretchen Isabeau Shirley Vincent is proceeded in death by cousin Ronald Dujour, aunt Sonia Vincent, uncle Hiram Vincent, uncle Leonard Noel, uncle Wilner Dautruche, Adeline Dautruche, uncle Gerard Destin, and aunt Anna Fabien.
She is survived by her siblings, Guerardine Robinson, Gisane Vincent, Jacob Vincent Jr., Gregory Vincent, Lovaida, and her parents Jacob Vincent Sr. and Jacqueline Dautruche. She is also survived by uncle Fritz, uncle Nadal, aunt Solange, aunt Wilda, aunt Ruth, Aunt Seleni, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation, will be on Friday, August 26, 2022 from 5pm-8pm at Hill Funeral Home at 11723 S. Saginaw St. Grand Blanc, Michigan 48439
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 4th at 11am at Blount & Curry Funeral home at 3207 W. Bears Ave. Tampa FL 33618 with a visitation starting at 10am. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery. Arrangements are by Blount & Curry Funeral Home.
Memorials may be given to her mother, Jacqueline Dautruche. The family of Gretchen Isabeau Shirley Vincent wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Gretchen’s good friend Megan Garcia for being there for her and helping us with her affairs in Michigan and being her extended family along with Molly and her other close friends, co-workers, and neighbors. We also thank our extended family in Brooklyn New York, the Albert family and Descorbeth family for being a part of our lives and Shirley’s (Gretchen) over these past decades.
