Henry Valdez

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Natalia (Martineaud) Valdes, and his nine siblings: Guadalupe Fernandez, Juan Valdez, Gilbert Valdes, Gabriel Valdez, Roland Valdez, Joe Valdez, Lucy Lemus, Avelina Rodriguez, & Lewis Valdez. Cousins: Miriam Pendas and Maria del Carmen Gonzalez.

Henry was a devoted life-long friend of Robert Cacciatore. The two served in the US Army, worked in microbiology research and enjoyed traveling the world, having visited more than 30 countries throughout their retirement years together. Traveling was one of Henry’s true passions.

Henry is survived by his niece, Tina Marnotes (Jose), his great-nephew (and namesake) Jose Enrique Marnotes (Aysiah) as well as other nieces and nephews.

He was deeply loved by members of the Cacciatore Family with whom he always held a special bond. Family is not solely defined by DNA, family is a commitment of devotion and their connection was unwavering.

A funeral service will be held at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4207 E Lake Ave, Tampa, FL 33610 at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 24, 2026. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. Committal will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
