He was born in Dayton, Ohio and settled into the Tampa Bay Area after retiring from the United States Army after 20+ years. He was very humble, but very proud of his service in Viet-Nam as a Helicopter Pilot. James had a great sense of humor. He was dedicated to his family and a loyal friend to all that knew him.
James was preceded in death by his parents, James and Ireta Cater.
He is survived by his loving wife, Bobbi; daughter, Michelle Gaines and extended family and friends who loved him dearly, he will be missed.
