

He has lived in Progress Village for 51 years and raised all three of his kids there.
He worked in the Tampa shipyard for many years; as a dockhand and shipyard worker.
James enjoyed going to church, cooking, gardening, fishing, and tinkering with various projects. He liked to use his hands.
He is preceded in death by his mother Lucy Bell Lampkin, father Reverend George Bragg Lampkin, Sr. &, and stepmother Mary Lampkin, and several sisters and brothers.
James is survived by; sisters, Rosa Lee Anderson and husband Milton, and Ladell Walker...children: Marsharena Lee (Larry dec.), Sharesa Ellis and husband Lloyd, James L Lampkin, Jr.; grandchildren, DeMarcus Lee, Timothy Walker III, Da’von Walker, Jazmine Whitehead, Amber Skye Ellis, James L Lampkin III, and Emily Lampkin.
A Life Celebration for James will be held at Blount & Curry Funeral Home at Garden of Memories, Sunday July 18, 2021 from 1pm - 2:45pm followed by a graveside service at Garden of Memories Cemetery at 3pm. Feel free to wear purple, or just purple accents when you join us in celebrating his life. There will not be a repass at the request of my father. I am only honoring his wishes.
