Jeffrey A. Darrey III

Jeffrey was born on January 20, 1993 in Tampa, Florida to Jeffrey A. Darrey Jr. from Racine, Wisconsin and Gwen Bond Darrey from St. Petersburg, Florida. He had fond memories of growing up in Odessa, Florida.

Jeffrey followed in his family's footsteps holding a Contractors License in the State of Florida. He enjoyed managing custom residential construction projects alongside his father at JR Structures, LLC.

Jeffrey met the love of his life, Sarah Castro, eight years ago. In 2018, they took a trip to Italy with Jeffrey's grandparents, Rosanne Darrey Strohl and Joseph Strohl. When they arrived in Rome, Jeffrey took Sarah to the Colosseum and found a private spot where he proposed. They were married on December 29, 2019. On March 20, 2023 they had their first child, Audrey. He was very excited to become a father and took his new role seriously. He read the baby books, became the best swaddler, and loved bonding with Audrey. He looked forward to creating memories with his growing family.

Jeffrey was kind, loving, and compassionate. He was intentional in all his relationships. He loved people more than things and he knew no strangers. He had an amazing sense of humor and the most beautiful smile. He leaves a gaping hole in the hearts of all who love him and hold him dear. Jeffrey was a giver, a quality that continues after his passing. Jeffrey was a tissue donor and his donation will have a life changing impact on many.

Jeffrey was preceded in death by his Great Grandparents: Dorothy Mersy Darrey, John J. & Trude Darrey, Walberga (Wally) Smetana & Joseph Louis Galipo and his Grandparents Jeanne Bond Schmitz and John W. Bond, Jr. He is survived by his wife Sarah, his daughter Audrey, his parents Jeff and Gwen, his sister Rebecca Darrey Rude, and his grandparents Jeff & Sharon Darrey and Rosanne Darrey Strohl & Joseph Strohl. Jeffrey is loved by so many including his wife Sarah's family and his many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Tampa Covenant Church located at 13320 Lake Magdalene Boulevard, Tampa, FL 33618.
