

June passed away peacefully on December 11th 2025. She was 97 years old. June was born in Hempstead NY, Long Island to Harry S. Williams Sr. and Helen (Heskay) Williams on March 8th, 1928. She grew up in Roosevelt, Long Island, New York. She was an only child until age 9 when her brother Harry S. Williams, Jr. was born (deceased). June married in 1950 to Robert (Bob) E. Schebe (deceased) and is survived by Beverly Sanders, Barbara Barrett, Norman Schebe (Maryann) and Nancy Schebe Murphy (Keith) as well as one grandson Kevin and great grandson Leo and numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her step grandchildren Kerry and Shaun Murphy.
June was a model in a local department store in Hempstead and was asked to model by a then well-known modeling agency in New York City in 1943. At 5’8” and 118 lbs they told her she needed to lose weight. She never went back. June was an early advocate of unreasonable demands on body and weight. She graduated high school in 1945 at 17 and went to work as an Executive Assistant at Doubleday Publishing on Long Island until she had her first child in 1953. She met her husband in 1946 and became engaged on Christmas Day in 1947 and married on May 14, 1950 after the house that Bob was building along with numerous relatives on weekends was completed. It was located in Seaford, Long Island, NY.
June and Bob moved to West Islip, Long Island in 1961 where they raised their family. June resided in West Islip until 2019. She spent the last six years with her daughter Nancy and husband Keith in Tampa, Florida.
June always said that her greatest job and joy in life was raising her children and being a Mother and wife. June loved to garden, an avid book reader and card shark. She loved poker and Gin Rummy. She was a great conversationlist, entertaining family and friends always with her stories until her death. She will be remembered by many friends and family.
