

Her journey began on December 3rd, 1933 in Riverstown, Essequibo, Guyana. She was the daughter of the late David and Doris Foo and the second of thirteen siblings. They included the late Veronica Bacchus, the late Desmond Foo, the late Jerry Foo, Pansy Wong, the late Donald Foo, Iris Tracy, Clarice Wilson, Charles Foo aka Cowboy, Archibald Foo aka Archie, the late Beulah Sears, Jane Amaniera, and Margaret Sangster.
She was the niece of the late Marie and Wilfred Lee who cared for her during her young adult life.
Kathleen aka Kathy was the loving wife of Cecil Hopkinson and devoted mother of Jonathan Hopkinson and wife, Jacqueline and Vali Hopkinson and grandmother of Caryn Kim and husband, Gene, Ryan Hopkinson and Gabriel De Oliveira.
Kathy married the love of her life on July 23rd, 1955 and started their journey together in Georgetown, Guyana. She worked at the Guyana Electric Corporation for many years before transitioning to the Guyana High Commission in London, England, UK. Kathy lived in England for several years before migrating to Tampa, Florida in 1997 where she and her husband have resided since.
She was a vibrant, generous and kind soul who touched the lives of everyone fortunate to meet her. The devotion to her husband and her nurturing spirit to her children and grandchildren were reflected in everything she did. Kathy was a person of high self respect and standards. Her hobbies were cooking, telling jokes and flower arranging. She loved to travel with her family and was fortunate to explore parts of Europe, China and the Caribbean islands.

That light continues to shine in her children and grandchildren.
