Ken joined the US Army after high school in the 1950’s. After the army he began his lifelong career at Public Service Indiana at Gallagher Station in New Albany, IN. He retired from his position of Office Supervisor in 1993 after 36 years with the company. Ken and Henrietta enjoyed domestic and international travel after retirement. Ken’s favorite hobby involved license plates. He loved buying, selling and trading in his license plate club; the Automobile License Plate Collectors Association. He truly enjoyed swap meets and flea markets buying trains and toys and he never met a stranger. Henrietta brought him to the Lord and Ken served as an Elder at Silver Street Church of Christ in Indiana and Temple Terrace Church of Christ in Florida.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Lawless.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 62 years, Henrietta Purkhiser Mauck; his children, Amanda Mauck, Anthony Mauck and wife, Della and Annetta Hastings and husband, Lee; brother-in-law, Erskin Lawless; sister-in-law, Hilda Greene and husband, Von; grandchildren, Sheli Mauck, Brett Mauck and wife, Regan, Sloan Hastings and Olivia Hastings; and great-grandchildren, Lawson and Brenan Mauck.
Visitation will be held Saturday, July 31, 2021 from 9-10 am at Temple Terrace Church of Christ, 8001 Temple Terrace Highway, Temple Terrace, FL 33637, followed by a celebration of life at 10 am.
In lieu of flowers, gifts may be sent to Florida College for the James R. Cope Adopt Program in memory of Ken and Henrietta Mauck.
