Kim was born in Buffalo to the late John and Virginia Cooper on April 22nd, 1947. He attended grammar school at Fourteen Holy Helpers. He graduated from Canisius High School (1965) and Canisius College (1969). He also served in the National Guard in Western New York.
He is survived by his best friend and wife of 42 years Anne Cooper ( Hyde ), in addition he is survived by his brother Jon Cooper ( Nancy ). He was the sibling of the late Alan Cooper ( Yvonne ) and Marcia Gerstenberg (Cooper) (Roy).
His passion was the exterior restoration of automobiles back to their original luster. As such, he had his own company that did just that for some of the key automobile dealers in WNY. He also loved golf and gardening, while despising the winters of WNY.
