

Kimberly Ann Magee Olano, age 45, died unexpectedly on May 22, 2024. Kim was born on October 5, 1978, in Voorhees. NJ to Constance F. Bruno and James F. Magee, Jr. She graduated with a BA Degree in Sociology and Anthropology from Florida International University in 2003 and received an MA Degree in Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of South Florida in 2012. Kim’s first position was at Paychex in Human Resources. Kim’s real passion in life was to become a teacher. She achieved this reality and fulfilled her real passion in life teaching fifth-grade Mathematics at Pinecrest Academy South Charter School, Miami, FL.
Kim is survived by her Mother, Connie, Connie’s spouse, S. Diane Hathaway, her Father, Jim, her stepmother, Daria Magee; her brothers, James F. Magee, III; Anthony L. Bruno; Daniel Magee; her grandmother, Patricia Magee, her aunts, Sister Teresa A. Bruno, SC; Christine Mailahn, Bettyanne Magee, Rosemary DiCicco, Patricia Coratolo, Mary Magee, her uncles Charles Magee, John Magee, and her former husband, Frank Olano. Kim is preceded in death by her grandfather, Anthony L Bruno, and grandmother, Helen M. Bruno, and grandfather, James F. Magee, Sr.
Kim’s Principal, Elaine Clemente, at Pinecrest Academy, is quoted as saying “Kim is not just a colleague but a friend to many. Her free spirit, strength, and loyalty made her a pillar in our school. She managed her life with a calming presence, yet she always held a little spice that we all came to love and appreciate. The students and staff adored her, and her absence leaves a void that is deeply felt by all who knew her.”
On June 14, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., the funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Mission Church, 16650 U.S. 301, Wimauma, FL 33598. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Saint Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
